Course Objective:

Students will learn to interpret architectural drawings, prepare accurate material "take-offs" and develop cost estimates. A "take-off" is an itemized list of the types and quantities of various building materials used in a given construction project. This course will be presented in two sections: The first part of the semester will concentrate on the interpretation of construction drawings. The second section will deal with the estimation of quantities and cost of materials specified in architectural drawings.


Grading and Evaluation:

Regular attendance is expected.
