Assignment 1 - Codes of Ethics

Please hand in your assignments at the beginning of class on the due date.

Read the three Codes of Ethics for the National Society for Professional Engineers, American Institute of Architects, and National Association of the Remodeling Industry, available on-line through the Readings and Links Page and below:

Read the texbook (Chapter 2) to develop an understanding of the terms "ethical behavior" and "social responsibility". Choose ONE of the three Codes presented above that BEST addresses:

  • Defining ethical behavior
  • Defining responsibilities to customers
  • Defining responsibilities to employees
  • Specifying the need for a broader social responsibility

Briefly state WHY you feel your chosen CODE is the best in addressing these areas.
