Due by class time March 8

In class for the first Energy Efficiency Lecture you were assigned a specific element of Passive Solar Design to investigate. For this assignment you are to:

Research the item you were assigned at the link from the lecture web page and answer the following question:

1) Define the item. (e.g. What is "Daylighting"?)

2) What are some examples of how it is used?

3) How significant is this item in the overall energy use of a residential home?

4) Is the effectiveness of this passive solar design tool impacted by it's combined use with other elements of passive solar design? (e.g. Does it "interact" with another component of design?)
