Extra Credit Assignment

Announcements:
 

Those of you who were in class on Friday know that we watched a clip of CSI and  discussed the kinetics vs. equilibrium elements of cyanide poisoning.  I am offering up to 10 points of extra credit to be added to the next  exam for similar, well-articulated examples. In order to get all the  extra credit, you need to really show me the connection of chemistry  to the situation. I also need all the information about the situation. The example can come from any TV show or movie. I have one example from Legally Blonde!

I have already gotten questions about the exams. Note that one of the exams is on Friday Mar. 13th. This is the last day before spring break. We set the exam for that day so that you will have two exams graded before the last day to withdraw which is the Tuesday after spring break. Going on vacation is not a university excused absence, so no make-up exams can be offered for students who miss the exam due to a vacation. Since UMass is a test site for the electronic version of the text, the PDF version of the text is available this semester through OWL.
